Rune Johansen b. 1957 has photographed since 1976 and has been represented at a number of exhibitions nationally and internationally. Until 2003, he had his day-to-day work as as planner at Telecom Agency Telenor. He has now published six books at Forlaget Press.

 

The first one that came in 2004, Hiv Mannskjiten, received an overwhelming reception and has become an audience success. The next, As long as it was, which came the following year, was named the most beautiful photo book of the year in 2005. The book I Hemsedal is the third in series books published by Rune Johansen at Forlaget Press. In 2007, Rune went to the United States and the result was Da æ i Amerika. This book was voted the year's most beautiful art / photo book for 2008. In 2009, he published Norwegian seamen. The last of the series is the Christmas book, Happy Christmas, was published Christmas 2010.

 

In 2004 Rune Johansen was awarded the State Guarantee Income for Artists. He was awarded the Photographer Prize, the Norwegian Film Association's honorary award, in 2011.

 

Rune Johansen's works are purchased by the Norwegian Parliament, Troms County Municipality, The Norwegian Embassy in Washington and collections includes amongst others; Museum of Contemporary Art, Bergen Art Museum, National Museum of Art, Norwegian Museum of Photography, Trondheim Art Museum, Nordnorsk Kunst Museum, Norwegian Cultural Council, Telenor, Storebrand Art Collection, Norsk Hydro Art Collection.

 

 

Rune Johansen f. 1957 har fotografert siden 1976, og har vært representert ved en rekke utstillinger nasjonalt og internasjonalt. Frem til 2003 hadde han sitt daglige virke som planlegger i Televerket. 

Johansen har nå utgitt seks bøker på Forlaget Press. Den første som kom i 2004, Hiv mannskjiten fikk en overstrømmende mottagelse og har blitt en publikumsuksess. Den neste, Så lenge det vara, som kom året etter, ble kåret til årets vakreste fotobok i 2005. Boken I Hemsedal er den tredje i rekken bøker som Rune Johansen har utgitt på Forlaget Press. I 2007 dro Rune til USA og resultatet ble Da æ var i Amerika. Denne boken ble kåret til årets vakreste kunst/fotobok for 2008. I 2009 kom boken Norske sjøfolk. Den siste i rekken er juleheftet, Glade jul som kom julen 2010. 

I 2004 ble Rune Johansen tildelt Statens garantiinntekt for kunstnere og mottok Fotografiprisen, Norges Fotografforbunds hederspris, i 2011.

Hans arbeider finnes i en rekke utsmykninger i offentlig rom som Stortinget, Troms fylkeskommune, Den norske ambassaden i Washington og av samlinger kan bl. annet nevnes; Museet for Samtidskunst, Bergen Kunstmuseum, Nasjonalmuseet for kunst, Norsk Museum for Fotografi, Trondheim Kunstmuseum, Nordnorsk kunstmuseum, Norsk kulturråd, Telenor, Storebrand kunstsamling, Norsk Hydro kunstsamling.
