Hans-Olav Forsang has through a long career established himself as one of Norway´s most respected and influential photographers. He is best known for his time as a photographer and picture editor in Norway´s largest newspaper “VG”, where he played a key role in the development of the newspaper´s photojournalistic profile.

 

He has also worked with advertising photography in terms of major campaigns, magazines and books organized by his own company or in collaboration with other design- and advertising agencies.

During the last years he has established his own business related to photo, film and visual communication with customers who are central in the Norwegian community and business industry.

Parallel to this, he has worked with several personal projects. Currently he is working on his biggest project so far “HUMAN TONIC” which was completed as a book and exhibition in April 2017. 

 

Hans-Olav Forsang has previously had a number of solo exhibitions in Norway and abroad, one of them under the auspices of the UN. He has received many national and international awards for his pictures and book projects. He was also the first Scandinavian who won "The Golden Eye Trophy" organized by the World Press Photo.

Hans-Olav Forsang har gjennom en lang karriere etablert seg som en av Norges mest respekterte og innflytelsesrike fotografer. Han er best kjent for sin tid som fotograf og bilderedaktør i Norges største avis "VG", hvor han spilte en nøkkelrolle i utviklingen av avisens fotojournalistiske profil.

 

Han har også jobbet med reklamefotografering når det gjelder store kampanjer, magasiner og bøker organisert av eget firma eller i samarbeid med andre design- og reklamebyråer.

I løpet av de siste årene har han etablert egen virksomhet relatert til foto, film og visuell kommunikasjon med kunder som er sentrale i norsk samfunn og næringsliv.

Parallelt med dette har han jobbet med flere personlige prosjekter. For tiden jobber han med sitt største prosjekt så langt "Human Tonic" som ble ferdiggjort som en bok og utstilling i april 2017.

 

Hans-Olav Forsang har tidligere hatt en rekke soloutstillinger i Norge og utlandet, en av dem under FNs regi. Han har mottatt mange nasjonale og internasjonale priser for sine bilder og bokprosjekter. Han var også den første skandinaviske som vant "The Golden Eye Trophy" organisert av World Press Photo.
